It is to lock the two variables that actually control production: print-ready artwork and substrate availability. If your artwork is press-ready and your film stock is in stock, most rush jobs can be done in 3-5 business days; if either is missing, no supplier can honestly promise same-day.

If you need printed plastic roll film with eight Pantone colors, a matte finish, and a registered window, expect 7-10 business days minimum. If you need a recyclable bag with a specific post-consumer recycled content claim, start before you think you need to.

Also, don't promise curbside recycling for a clear plastic food bag unless you have verified it in your market. 'Recyclable' is local. That's a red flag if a supplier says otherwise.
